Great little site.
Secluded beach. Quiet, so so peaceful! Would achieve a 10 if it had hot showers but for $5 for an adult per night, it's really good. Some information on reaching the site though. The track is fine for larger vehicles, there's no race, take your time. We had a 6 berth, 7 metre van. Confident drivers would be better along the gravel road however. Some figures now... We averaged at 40kph from the site uphill along the gravel road, after this it get straighter for a little but and we achieved 50/60kph. On the winding parts of the paved road we averaged around 30kph. We passed a total of 37 vehicles along the whole distance of the road and 5 were along the gravel road, so it isn't busy. From the information board just after Linkwater it is, as it states, 68km which took is a total of 1hr 40mins. The gravel road is roughly 24km which took us about 37mins to achieve but remember this is the last part of the road to Titirangi. I hope this helps anyone considering using this site! We do recommend going to French Pass, further West, as the views are simply stunning!

Great place to camp.
It's free! Not windy on this occasion but other reviews say otherwise. Self contained so didn't have a need to use public toilets. Great views. Nice little village and we were all alone. This is the motorhome life!

This site is only good for its location, although toilet/shower blocks are clean.
There is no warden, people came to use the facilities and went again. $50 for a powered site! $40 for non powered but we only had a $50 bill. Didn't see any wardens at all.
