Hired a helicopter between 4 of us, flew over Bay of Islands and up to Cape Reinga.
Landed on 90 Mile Beach for awhile. Amazing! Then met near Cape Reinga by 4x4 for 2hr trip back to helicopter. Fantastic trip.

We booked a Subaru online asking for a manual specifically and were promised one.
Dismayed when collected vehicle, it was automatic. Rather "don't care" attitude - take it or leave it. In the end it turned out to be an excellent car!
