I have always been satisfied with them.
However i write this to share my experience about the sleeper bus as there is little to no info on the naked bus website about it. I took the sleeper bus for the first time from Wellington to Auckland. The beds were single sized, with a curtain down the middle, so I looked for a top bunk as only the bottom bunks were shared, but there were none left. I took one of the free bottom bunks. There was less than half a meter between the bottom and top bunks. It had a clean blanket and pillow. The cushioning was thin but bearable to lay on. The bus was full so i had share. there was very little space for the two of us and we couldn't lay flat . So i was squished up against the window. There was almost no moving space and my feet were flat against a wall. I'm of average height and a very skinny guy, I cant imagine what it'l be like for larger people. The guy next to me was slightly larger so he took up more space. When he fell asleep he would go flat and i was squished right up against the wall and window. This happened often throughout the trip. Also about the curtain, it is useless. I was really not enjoying myself as i had no space and i was sweating from frustration and discomfort. This was prolonged because the bus had to do unscheduled toilet stops because the toilet wasn't working on board. This also made the bus get to Auckland over an hour late.
The only sleep i got was after the guy next to me got off in Hamilton. I also have to add that there is no difference in pricing for if you sleep on a top bunk by yourself or on a bottom bunk squished up next to someone else.
It wasn't worth the extra costs. Unless u get a top bunk by getting on first or sharing a bed with your boyfriend or girlfriend etc. But this is just my opinion about the sleeper bus from my own experience.
It would be nice for naked bus to offer more info on their sleeper bus, as i know most people would not enjoy what i went through.
