Friendly staff. Coffee and Tea included on board.

We were triggered to go to The Barn because of the excellent location next to Abel Tasman NP, but feared queuing on toilets or showers reading some of the reviews on Rankers, but fortunately this wasn
't true. To set things straight there are indeed two kitchen facilities that had both 2 showers and 2 toilets, but there is recently built a separate sanitary bloc with 6 more toilets and 4 additional showers (new and clean).
Issues on unfriendly staff can be confirmed. The owner is really friendly and eager to help anyone, but all the rest of the crew were unfriendly indeed.
Still, The Barn is an ideal campsite as base camp for exploring Abel Tasman NP.

This was really a nice campground.
Spacious sites with nice trees, a picnictable and a private bathroom on each site. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Kitchen facilities were available, rather basic, but clean. A good place to stay to visit glacier lakes and mount Cook.

We had a wonderfull stay in New Zealand and traveled for 25 days around both islands with a Wendekreisen budget 2+1 berth campervan.
We chose Wendekreisen because it was one of the cheapest options available, but reviews on rankers were still mostly positive. We don't regret out decision. The campervan was a 2004 Toyota Hi-Ace with a lot of kilometers, but it seemed the camper was well maintained, clean and well equipped. We had some problems with the clutch first, but when we were used to drive with the van, everything went fine. The employees helping us were very friendly and the vehicle inspection went really smooth when we delivered the van back (because this is the point were i usually stress out...)
