Very clean facilities, great campsite with a nice view of the ocean.
Very flexible with checkin and checkout times. Playground and games room for the children was a plus. $36 per night quite reasonable for what they offered. DVDs to hire and WiFi available. Stayed here twice during our trip. Highly recommend.

Only campground close to the city, was disappointed at accessibility to the park and our site.
We parked on concrete pad which was not level. WiFi internet access for $5/day. Have had better experience and facilities at other sites just out of the city.

Ambury Park Camping Ground

We stayed here on our first night camping in NZ.
We enjoyed the scenery and walking around to all the animals. Quick and easy enough to book on entrance to the park using the provided phone. We returned here after 11days for our last night. Was disappointed to find the showers/water had been shut off, and gates closed and locked at 7pm.
