Nice campground with lots of sites and close to the beach.
Quite a few residents. Small, basic kitchen, which could be more centrally located. The private toilet is definitely a plus! Recommended.

3.5/5
Very big campground, well located.
Average size sites. Plenty of residents. Good clean facilities. More than the lack of character I dislike the overcrowded feeling you get, the vans and caravans being really close to each other with no hedges or trees separating the sites.

Incredible place!
No facilities at all, just you, the awesome lake Pukaki and Mount Cook. No need for anything else. There are some tables and benches at the beginning of Hayman Rd. From there on, choose your spot. Highly recommended.

Nice campground with a hippy feeling about it.
Very friendly and helpful lady at the reception. Big parkland with grass and trees. Dated and clean facilities. Several friendly residents. We didn't find the dump station though we really looked for it. Maybe a signpost would help.
We dont have a dump station , only a grey water area which is located at back of camp in flax area.

Very big basic camp.
Average toilets. Plenty of people, but being so big you can always find a place, though not by the the lake. Rather expensive considering what you get.

3.5/5
Very nice camp just by the lovely beach.
Not big, so better be there before 18:00. Basic toilets, a couple of sinks and some water spots. Plenty of fishermen camped "permanently".

4.0/5
Nice camp with good and clean facilities.
Big kitchen, friendly staff. Rather large sites, half grass, half concrete. Clearly used as last stop before flying out, so plenty of free stuff left behind by campers.

3.5/5
Small camp with quite good facilities.
Sites with grass and concrete. Office opens only from 9 to 16:00. Outside these hours, payment in an honesty box and help yourself to the site you like. No dump station.

Awful place!
The lady at the hotel was only interested in grabbing our 20 dollars. It's basically the hotel's backyard, with old, dirty and shabby facilities. Rubbish bins full up so rubbish on the floor. No curtains/door in the shower. Cheap price and cheap facilities. Avoid this place.

Good and large space for the campervan. All the facilities (kitchen, toilets, showers...) clean and well kept. Very nice and helpful managers. Definitely recommended.

Nice campground with big sites half concrete, half grass.
Good facilities. You can use the Aquatic Park at half price. Plenty of green common areas. Recommended.
North Island ▷ Rotorua Region ▷ Waiotapu ▷
3.0/5
More or less halfway between Rotorua and Taupo, which makes it quite convenient to visit the many attractions in the area.
Basic campground, but the pools make all the difference. The facilities are average and the price is rather high, but the possibility to use the awesome pools justifies it. 6/10 for the camp, 9/10 for the pools.

4.5/5
Really good campground close to the lake and the town centre.
Great facilities, clean and well kept (heating in the showers/toilets!). We had a rather small park close to the common area and had to put up with some campers singing and laughing out loud late at night. This should be controlled by the management, otherwise really efficient. Highly recommended. Prices are high but nonetheless great value for money.
