Beautiful place in front of the Lake Taupo!
There is only one parking where you can sleep, look at the signs! There are public toilets with hot showers in the Tongariro Domain (it is a big building in the middle of the park, but you have to pay an entrance fee and an extra for the shower). The spot is just a couple of meters from the lake, the views in the morning are amazing! No water but there are recycling and rubbish bins.

AMAZING!
This is the best place I have been in my trip so far. Prices are $15 per person, $18 if you want power supply (for campervans). The camping is so beautiful, clean, tidy and relax! The camping has a cozy, clean and nice kitchen. There is a walking access to the beach from the back, so in 2 min you are in the water. They have HOT SHOWERS! They use a card system, you pass the card once and you have 3 min shower. You have to press the button to get it warmer and wait. If you want another 3 min, you just have to pass the card again. The toilets are so clean and the people who work there are so nice and helpful.
I love surfing and I spent a couple of days here, because it was so relax and perfect to have nice morning sessions without waking up anyone! Piha is a really special beach...

Really quiet spot behind the tennis courts and close to the hockey fields.
Probably the closest free Overnight Parking from Auckland if you come from the South. No public toilets, no water, but really quiet.. perfect if you have to sleep before going to Auckland or to the Airport.

Nice and quiet place really close to the beach.
So many spots for parking, but when it is raining it is better to go to the end where the public toilets are.

Beautiful spot!
Waking up in front of the Lake Paringa is awesome. The place is crowded and the spots are limited. The toilets are not really clean and they smell pretty bad. The price is $6 per person. I reckon the price is a bit high for the poor facilities, but if that money is enough to keep that beautiful place clean and protected.. then it is worth it! So many sand flies, use repellent... the bites are so itchy!

Busy spot in front of the beach!
You have to drive until the parking where the toilets are. You could see some motorhomes and campervans parked on different spots, but when it is raining is really difficult to drive, so drive a bit far until the toilets!

Awesome facilities and nice spot for a night!
You have to park inside the Golf Course parking, it is open at any time. Hot shower, power supply, water and rubbish bins. The place is so clean and you can feel the great hospitality of this town. Please, pay it cause it is worthy, it is just $15 (not per person, per campervan) and keep it clean!

Simply amazing...
Free overnight camping, clean public toilets, rubbish bins, dump station with water tap (no drinking water). It is close to the Yacht Club, busy but quiet and so nice. The views from the parking are really nice, you can see Auckland from there. The sailors are so respectful and quiet, even they go so early for sailing.
