As expected for a Top 10 park.
Clean, modern fittings, quiet location in the city. Friendly staff. WiFi that doesn't crawl. Tidy grounds.Hard to beat. BBQ not very hot. Better to use kitchen and a frying pan.

3 nights on a powered site.
As the only place in Hamilton, it's clear there is no competition. The whole place is not clean, but clean enough. It's not friendly, but friendly enough.
Facilities are a bit run down but clean where it counts and nothing appeared broken.
I'm always saddened by signs that tell you all the things you can't do, or must do, or severe security deposits that need to be paid before you are allowed a spoon. These are the signs of owners/operators that are tired. Too many people have taken advantage, and they now have the expectation that things will go wrong. It permeates everything.
Grounds are park-like and mature with large trees and hedges providing a sense of privacy. Although near a busy set of roads, it's quiet enough, and certainly quiet at night.
Site was level and had a picnic table.
Paid $22 per night per person, which is about right for a city ground.
And yes, I would come back here, but that's also because there are no other choices unless you're willing to leave the city.
Didn't try WiFi (most of them aren't worth the money anyway), but good Spark coverage for those who need to keep connected.
5-7 minutes drive to the city, and emergency food and supplies are a couple of minutes away.
