Lovely camping spot right next to the beach and for free.
Basic but clean facilities. Can get really busy and you have to deal with the sandflies.

Lovely site.
We arrived pretty late but were welcomed with a friendly smile. A lovely spot at the beach. We arrived here late March so it was not crowded at all. Lovely hiking tracks around.

Very clean, nice and decorated camping spot.
Free hot showers. Too bad you have to pay a deposit to use the pots and pans cause that means you are depending on the office hours to use or return them.

Good location close to town next to the lake.
Very big campground so in the evening it became quite busy even mid April. Clean basic facilities maybe not enough toilets according to the amount of campers.

Real small spot to pitch a tent.
Close to town and very friendly hosts. Clean and good facilities free hot shower and nice cooking utilities. Too bad the communal lounge closes around 22.00.
Thank you for your feed back and for choosing to stay in our park. We have a large central grass area for tents as well as numerous grass sites. Our communal area is open from 7am and closes at 10pm as we are a family friendly park and this aides in noise reduction overnight. We hope to see you again in the future.

The Otto side is great to pitch your tent right next to the lake.
The other spots look more like a carpark. Good and clean basic facilities.

Very nice and clean facilities.
Big campsite close to the water. The hosts could be a little bit more friendly. They came to take a look in the kitchen to be sure we would keep it clean and they repeated a few times that we had to check out at 10 am.
We do recall your visit as every guest is required to register. We apologize for our rudeness. But you must appreciate that during your visit we had 4 different groups of students here totaling over 60+ people. We have 3 other kitchens but for some reason or another everyone decided to use the one that is fully equipped. We are sure that you can appreciate that the cleansiness of our kitchens, showers and toilets are our priority. Signs are strategically posted all over the park stating that check out time is 10:00am, unless prior arrangement has been made with management. This check out time is not unusual in NZ. Cleaning starts everyday at the same time regardless of the amount of people that use our facilities.
