I was going to walk the Tongariro Crossing but when I arrived in Turangi it was a very wet couple of days so thought as I was going to get wet any way why not have some fun and go rafting for the frist
time.
And Im hooked it was great fun with Pinanika (joint onwer whith Luke)picking me up in town and chating away. I did the 1/2 day and loved every second I was in a raft with 2 other guys (this was their second time) and 2 guides who were soo such fun and very informative.
getting to jump off a waterfall for the frist time 2 will get any ones heart racing but do it!! you wont regret it.
The milo and chocolate towards the end of the trip hits the spot so does the hot spa back at base.
with free pick up and drop off in town, the friendlyness of the people it will be a adventure that will stay with you, one i will be doing again!

I went to the rock carvings 1day and down the river to the hot springs the next.
Guides fun, friendly, and informative both trips.
The river kayak is sooo much fun splashing around watching people bunge jumping and losing things out of their pockets on the way down and jumping out of your kayak if you feel like a swim.
The Kayak out the the rock carvings is great with stunning views all the way round you can see the skydivers float down across the lake and a dip in the lake on your tea break is just the thing to cool you down.
