I only used their service two times, but boy I'm glad I did.
During my trip to queenstown in March 2015, the bus left me with three other people (two japanese and a french lady). We thought the bus was late, but apparently the bus has left us and we were uninformed that the bus didn't use nakedbus logo.
That experience is still bearable until I realized I cannot call them because they are using premium number that cost 2 dollar per minute. According to the nakedbus website, they want to save money by encouraging all the customers to contact them via website. I think it's just an excuse so that customer cannot complain.
I was very lucky that the french lady was somehow able to call nakedbus by her phone, and I was able to arrange my transfer on another day. However the email I sent to them was answered few days later. The facebook page didn't help much either. It was very frustrating because that day was my birthday, I had to phone all my hostels and moved the schedule.
I registered to this website only to post this review and warn everyone before using nakedbus. So far I haven't had bad experience other than that (the bus still come on time). But since they are taking the customers' right to call them directly, and imposing hefty fee for that, I will give it 1. It's a very bad business practice.
For comparison, Intercity has a live webchat with customer service. On that day I chat with the customer service to move my schedule, she gave me a very clear instruction and informed me that I had to pay an extra fee (which is still understable). I deleted my schedule from their system and got a credit transfer.
However I forgot to make the booking and later on, I received a voicemail. The customer service actually left a message that my credit will expire if didn't use it before 8.00 PM.
I'm not sure how cheap is nakedbus compared to intercity, but I will recommend anyone to compare it with other bus companies before making a trip with nakedbus.
