Lovely location with pleasant sites.
Portobello is an excellent place to stay to see the little blue penguins and the albatross. Larnach Castle is also worth a visit. Toilet facilities were inadequate for the number of people, so queues for the ladies showers in the morning. Make sure you ask for your access code for free WiFi, as it may not be offered when you check in.

Had a wonderful view of the lake and mountains from our site on the upper terrace.
Toilet facilities very good. Wonderful walks into Wanaka along the side of the lake or to Albertown along the side of the river. One of our favourites.

Very convenient for walking into town or taking a whale-watching trip.
Lovely small swimming pool and hot tubs. Excellent showers/ toilets. Disappointed with size of pitches. Motor homes in spaces not much bigger than a car parking space.

Lovely spacious sites which you can choose yourself.
Friendly, helpful owner. Very quiet when we stayed. Excellent toilet facilities. Make sure you stock up with food though- nearest supermarket is in Oamaru.

Spacious sites among trees, but without a view. Only a few smaller sites had a view of the mountains.

Stayed for one night and had a wonderful view of the lake and mountains from our site.
Very good, clean toilet facilities, although have to pay for the shower. Tekapo hot springs 2 mins walk from campsite.

Brilliant location next to start of Abel Tasman National Park.
Good, spacious sites. Excellent new showers & toilets. Restaurant 2 minutes from campsite is very good. Water taxis pick you up from the site.
