Regarding the prices, we do specials at different times and if you happen to come in for a price and do not book in and come back later some times the special has finished as in this case.I personally think $34 is very reasonable compared to other holiday parks and maybe if this is to expensive for your taste as you state then you should be freedom camping with NO facilities. We do have nice tent sites on flat land and honestly you sound like you have a gripe because you missed out on the special after going to another camp for a price then coming back here.
