For the money you can't beat it!
Such a great little find! $10 for a powered site with hot showers in a peaceful and pretty spot. Although the golf club was closed when we arrived, we met a gentleman who works there he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome! Great place to stop.

Excellent campsite in a very pretty spot!
The hosts were very friendly and offered good advise about the local area. Facilities were immaculate everything you could ask for. It's a fairly small campground and feels like a real independent. We stayed here instead of Nelson centre, very glad we did, just a shame we didn't have time to stay another night! Free wifi is icing on the cake.... It worked well too!

Perfect campsite!
This place is amazing, absolutely everything is well thought out and has been provided for... without exception! Lots of little touches around the place that makes life so much easier and more comfortable. Looking back we wished we had stayed longer, it is also very convenient for town and the lovely weekend farmers market! Highly recommended!

This place is a great little find!
We paid $10 each and an additional $5 for power, internet is included at no extra cost. There are no kitchen facilities (just an outside sink area) but they do have an onsite cafe. Lovely, genuine people in a beautiful setting with very clean facilities! Overall great value and highly recommended.

I loved this place and the beautiful location just a short drive to the centre of Dunedin and on route to the amazing albatross viewpoint, BUT....
I get the feeling that the locals aren't all that happy about trialling this area as a campsite. We were asked to complete a questionnaire about our understanding of freedom camping in the area, we were checked up on by security and then woken at 7.30am and told we had to be gone by 8am. There are a limited number of spaces and I would not even attempt to stay here if it is already at capacity. All in all it is a fantastic place to freedom camp but be prepared... you will be woken early!

Awesome!
The most wonderful location, just below Mount Cook. It was very windy but we found a great spot at the picnic area (before the main campsite) which was more sheltered and very private from the few other campers around us. Highly recommend a night here.

Amazing place, took us a while to find but so glad we did.
It was quite breathtaking and well worth persevering for.
This place is freedom camping at its best! Amazing spot with a lovely feel to the place. The toilets are spacious and clean but in complete darkness and hard to navigate without a torch at night. Two thumbs up!
