Nicest place we stayed on our two week tour or the South Island.
The facilties were excellent. The bathrrooms were clean and well kept. The kitchen was excellent and since it was raining we opted to cook our meal inside with a few other campers. Outside the kitchen there is a nice patio are a that is covered. The only downside is the location. It is in the town of Westport which was pretty dead when we were there. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is your place, if you want some adventure you might go elsewhere. It was perfect for us!

We stayed here for just one night but really enjoyed it.
We were able to walk to the beach as there are walking paths leading from the camp ground right to the beach area. This is also a great base to start from for a day hike into Abel Tasman. The facilities were acceptable. There were free showers and a large kitchen area. It was fun to meet other travelers from all over the world there. We had to pay $5 for 24 hours of internet but it was worth it. The campsites were great as well, we weren't packed in like sardines and there was plenty of space, even during the busy season. Would stay here again most definitely.

Nothing fancy at this campground, but then again it isn't meant to be and only cost $12 for two.
The bathroom facilities were acceptable but not great. There is running water and and the view is very nice. We were able to park our camper van right next to the beach. Wasn't too crowded when we stayed there in late December
