The camp was large and had nice facilities.
The showers were only 50c. However the site itself was a little bit pricey at $36 although it did come with power. There were a few ducks roaming around and it was a little windy. But the grounds and area were nice as was the beach area.

The camp site prices have gone up judging by previous reviews, at $12.50 per person for non powered.
The showers are $2 for 4 mins which is a bit too expensive and short. Clean minimalist facilities, no hot water in the kitchen area. There were a lot of sandflies everywhere, particularly at dusk. The beach was really nice. Fire pits were available around the site (all fires confined to them). Close to the beach, relatively flat ground, good for tents. Nice, off the beaten track camp ground worth a visit.

We stayed in a cabin for one night.
The cabin were quite new and nice, however close together and so noise can travel from the neighbouring cabins. Cutlery and toaster and kettle were provided in the cabin. The kitchen also had utensils and other kitchenware available. The bathroom facilities looked more like a hotel than a camp ground. Unfortunately though when we showered early in the morning they were cold. This could be because they appeared to run off solar power.

Cheap cost at $7, with a lot of space.
The site is right on the river, with a lot of tall trees. It was windy when we were there, facilities were clean, but a bit stinky. There were no showers or kitchen facilities. Really good location only a few minutes drive to Wanaka. Overall a nice camp site.

Stayed for one night on a non powered tent site.
The sites were big and there was a lot of choice. The camp ground is in a good location right beside the lake and the hot springs. The facilities were fine, however there was a bug problem. The price was ok at $15 per person. It was windy coming off the lake. Cleaning of the facilities was odd. A man came into the women's facilities without warning at peak time, with no uniform or identification as a member of staff.

The camp ground was relatively quiet and right by the beach.
Not far from Kaikoura. Facilities were fine, with free showers. Stayed in a cabin which was very basic and $65 for two people for a night.

Great little camp site, with novelty factor (staying on the cricket ground boundaries!).
Very cheap for what was provided. Good facilities and free showers. A bit windy with some sandflies around.

Stayed one evening on non powered tent site.
Plenty of space, cheap at $5 per person per night, with good facilities although no showers. Close to the beach and not far off State Highway 1.

The site was good and the beach was nice.
The price was cheap at only $5 per adult. However the toilet was a very smelly long drop and the smell drifted over to the tent sites nearby. There were extremely loud people there who didn't abide by the camp rules and were partying until early in the morning and keeping us awake. The camp caretakers didn't do anything about this.

Moke Lake has great scenery and a different experience with all of the farm life around.
A long gravel road leads up to the site which is quite large and can be rough. They're were rams roaming around the site, which means there was a lot of sheep poo. The facilities are two long drops which were a bit smelly. It can get a bit windy and not a lot of shelter. There are also sandflies around. Be wary on weekend nights for party goers who come out and make a lot of noise which can be quite disturbing.

A lot of sandflies, and a bit windy.
Price was a bit expensive for a non powered tent site, however it was close to the beach and the pancake rocks and they told us about the best time to see them which was very good. Facilities were fine and free showers with a push button to keep the water going.

Stayed got one night on a non powered tent site.
They site was flat and there were hedges and trees separating that the sites from each other which was good. Good location particularly for town and the penguin colony. It was close to the railway tracks which were noisy when they went passed however this was relatively infrequent. Free showers and clean facilities. However price was high for a non powered tent site at $38.

Stayed in a cabin for one night.
We checked in after midnight and there were no problems at all. The host was very accommodating. The cabin was nice, and the facilities were too. Free showers.

$10 a night.
The shower is $2 for 5mins, however you can choose the temperature you want. The site was nice and by a field with farm animals which didn't make too much noise. The advertised food was just as expensive as a cafe. Facilities were clean though and the owner was friendly. There was noise from other campers late at night due to the small size of the camp area. Still worth a stay if you are in the area though.
Now the animals i am glad they didn't make to much noise for you i did tell them to keep it down
and the food please let us all know were you can get egg and bacon sandwich for $5 or a large bowl of home made chips $5 or a 9inch pizza all home made with a large amount of fillings and a dinning room for you to sit in for $14 full English breakfast with toast jam honey for $15 ????
Now! them noisy campers shame on them if you come back again you can stay for FREE and we can stop up all night making sure they don't disturb you
