Based on staying in a self contained caravan on a powered site this campground is a little cramped with some sites only big enough for a single vehicle.
Some sites are sloping so using wheel levellers would help. Some sites are all gravel. However there are some grass double width sites, so really depends on how lucky you are to get a nicer site. Campground facilities pretty basic. Considering the normal entry cost to the hot pools, camping here as well is only 5-7 dollars more, so based upon that the nightly rates are very good.
The advantage of this camp is the access to the hot pools which adds a few points to the overall rating.

Water, power, and a waste drain in the corner of most campsites. Very good nightly rate! Very clean and tidy facilities. Free Wi-Fi.

Based on staying in a self contained caravan on a powered site this is a nice park with water, power, and a waste drain in the corner of every lakefront campsite.
Nice level sites. Very good nightly rate! Clean and tidy facilities.

Based on staying in a self contained caravan on a powered site this campground has nice grounds and handy location to central Auckland.
Nice and tidy facilities. Concrete pads for parking. What it is missing is provision of water taps at sites which every other campground seems to have. Also there is only a single dump point (some camps have multiple dump points, and even some camps have a shared waste drain in one corner of every site). Emptying your toilet cassette or grey water roll tank could involve a long up hill haul (as the campground is terraced). Nightly rates are good considering the proximity of the campground to central Auckland.
If there were water taps at each site and more than one dump point I'd rate this place 10/10.

Based on staying in a self contained caravan on a powered site this campground has nice grounds and tidy facilities.
Bonus that it has a waste drain in the corner of the sites (great for emptying a grey water roll tank). Bonus for proximity and discounted entry to the hot pools.
