When I first hired a campervan, they told me about campsites and where you can camp, really good service!
It is in a nice place near the harbour.

We went to the caves with tubes to see glowworms, water was freezing but experience was amazing!
We were underground for a few hours and our guides were great!

All the basic stuff in the car is good, not so much extra staff, but it was our choice, because it was the cheapest.

You go to a village where they show you how they lived ages ago before Europeans arrived.
They made you a huge dinner in the end and it is delicious!

If you have seen the movies it is a must do.
Everything in Hobbiton is saved from the movies and you can go and have a beer in the Green Dragon. Great day and the guide also tells you facts about making the movies.

In the evening when there is lowtide you can get your own spade and dig a hot pool in the sand.
When the sun is setting, you can hear huge waves hitting the shore - it is truly an amazing experience.

We paid $12 per person, but we got hot showers, clean toilets and a kitchen to make our dinner.
Everything was clean and the place is beautiful. Walking tracks are nice and easy walks! Also the opportunity to get power!

Amazing views of the Emerald Lakes and volcanoes!
Hike is 19.4km long and you can also climb up to Mt Ngauruhoe. It took us about 2.5 hours to climb and 1/2 an hour to get down. It is worth climbing up if you are fit, just be careful that you do not miss the bus!

Nice little walk in the morning, water in the river is very clear and with the mountains around it, it is a great view!
