Very nice!
Beautiful location right on this small and picturesque bay. May be a little bit pricier then average DOC, but the toilets and showers are way better then average.

Perfect for just the overnight stay.
It is a carpark during the day, so don't expect more. Right in Blenheim center. Please note that there is a - newly built, with music and all - public toilet nearby, about 200m away, easy walking distance. You can see a flashing led light on the door of the toilet, from the car park. Did not here the trains at night, only a whistle blowing in the evening. There is a light noise of the air conditioning of a nearby building, but when we closed most of our van windows we couldn't here it anymore. No problem at all.

We're two adults with an SCC and paid $12, good price considering!
Campground is clean, very nice and very neat. If you walk 200m you're at the beach with a very beautiful view. Toilets are clean. BBQ available. No showers. One special thing about this campground: it has a gate with a numeric lock, and you won't get the code - and thus won't enter - until your creditcard payment is taken care of. It took us 30 min. and multiple phone calls.

Beautiful site!
It was a bit crowded (almost full) and indeed lots of mosquitos! Walking to the cape takes 2hrs, driving <10 min. Toilets were okay. Showers cold but great. We're two adults with an SCC and paid $12, very nice price!! The drive up north is amazing and the cape is a must visit. Go before 10:30 and you will beat the busses. Take a sand dune dive on your way back, hire a board on the road, at the site they're $15.
