Not what was expecting..
more like a theme park than a relaxing place.. might be due to the fact was school holidays too. Toilets and change rooms filthy!!!

Showers very dissapointin.. have to press button every 20 seconds to keep water running. And took a while to find office as its across the road from the park.

Good location close to the main street but thats where the positives almost stop.
Motorhome parking spot (our one atleast) was very uneven and couldnt level.. and for $40 a night for 2 people would expect free wifi in this day and age.
Showers and toilets clean and good pressure.

Great experience overall.
Had a 4 berth motorhome for 2 of us for 10 days around the south island. Vehicle had a little under 400,000 kms and drove ane handled very well.. never missed a beat.
Had a problem with the battery that left us with no power to the motorhome for 2 nights, they organised for the repair to be done on a sunday in queenstown and refunded us 1 days hire without me even asking for it.
Reccomendations.. knives needed sharpening as was very hard to cut foods.
would defiantly use again.

Amazing views!!
A few camping spots along hayman road.. all have amazing views!
The toilet is approx 1 - 2km down the gravel road and the toilet sign is on the right hand side facing the other direction so can be easily missed
. Not really an ideal spot to camp near the toilet however.

Expensive and very squishy!
However the location is a must! So easy to walk into town!
Toilets clean.. however when they decide to clean the male toilets the females become 'unisex' with no warning to people already in there having showers.. very off putting.

Spent our first night here, very friendly staff and very helpful :) earthquake damage still a problem around as such alot of roadworks around and weight limits on bridges can make it a little hard to navigate
to.
Very clean and hedges add some privacy compared to alot of other parks we stayed at.
