This was a boat trip with bad weather on our way.
So we had not a big explanation. We have seen two orca who were attacking a shark and two big sperm whales. The guides were also friendly.
Wow it sounds like you had an adventurous time with us, hope you managed to get some great photos.

They have much information and advice from DOC or nice free campgrounds. They also advise this campground in Motueka.
