Lovely scenery. Several nice parks to stop part way up and picnic. At the top a gorgeous, panoramic view of the city, green belt, harbour, sea and mountains.

What is so great about this Maori village is that it is owned by the people living there - all profit goes back to the village directly.

The place has plenty of leaflets (which is what I needed) and I saw the worker with a visitor, parking over a map giving instruction - so the help is there if you need it.
