As easy as you can possibly make an alpine crossing - still some steep bits, awesome views and a never ending end.
Annoying transport.

Walk the low tide beach part first and come back for stunning views over the cliffs; easy walking but need shoes!

Good location, lots of brochures, not super clear though what all the shuttle options for Tongariro were.

Cheaper that the Interislander, great coffee for okay prices on board.

Friendly, just too forever plus they kind of assume you want to spend lots of money.

Great location, right on the beach, sweet village and sweet waves, also for learners.

Beautiful little bay worth every turn of the windy road.
Works also at low tide, when all the other bays are sucked empty.

Camping with thermal pools - free entry, but NZD$20 per person for a bare parking spot.
Pools are accessible from 6am, so that is the bonus.

Very interesting, lots of little facts and figures.
Hobbiton is actually owned also by Peter Jackson, so this is the real stuff - not just for Tolkein fans.

Excellent way to discover the Bay of Islands - enjoy a day of real old style sailing on the Tucker, great crew and swimming.
