Canyon Explorers Queenstown

We canyoned at Routeburn Canyon.
Good fun sliding, jumping, abseiling down the canyon. Staff good, helpful and made sure everyone was okay. Really good day - only thing stopping it being 10/10 is cost of photos/videos afterwards. It is an expensive day anyway.

Great experience, we were very lucky, saw 5 sperm whales, average on a trip is 1 or 2!!
Also saw some sea birds including Albatross. Good knowledgable staff.

As you drive around Christchurch, there are lots of reminders of the loss caused by the earthquake.
In the middle of it all is the Re:Start City Mall made out of colourful shipping containers. Such a good idea and has a really vibrant feel to it.

First part of walk including Peters Pool and bridge over valley stream okay but loops round and walk back on the road, no view of glacier.
Do a return to bridge rather than the loop.

Easy booking and communication online was quick and simple.
Collected van, (Krispy), friendly and full of advice, we picked up a van with a funky paint job. Only downside is some of the extra bits - picnic table and chair are falling apart.

We have actually carried out a full review of all of our extra items and been out and bought further stock, so hopefully that addresses that for the future. Fush'n'Chups is a funky van aye? There is nothing wrong with these campsites really, they just lack the character of some of the other places we stayed.
Clean facilities, good staff, overpriced and pay extra for WIFI.

Flushing toilets, showers, bargain. Caretaker very friendly. On cricket ground near Wanaka, very good location, not as picturesque as some other campsites.

My favourite walk because it is a bit of an adventure, wading up the river, scrambling over rocks.
You will get wet, be careful, wear good walking shoes as it is slippery. You park at someones house so please respect their wishes and privacy.

Never played disc golf before.
Good fun, good way to explore the gardens and pass an hour or two. Chatted to some others playing who were friendly and much better than us.
