Truly awesome, should be a great walk, seclusion and stunning scenery and plenty of great excercise.

Really poor facilities.
No shelter or proper sink. One table, but the lake was flooded so it could not be reached. Toilets (long drops), were really full and stank. But at least a pretty spot.

Decent budget accommodation.
Nice spot. Really lovely woman who runs the place, obviously loves where she lives. Good value for money but nothing flash!

Very beautiful.
Stunning beaches and easy tracks. So many places to walk, swim and relax along the way. Full of other tourists though.

Picked up some brochures here.
There was a bit of a queue, but it was New Years Day, so it was understandable.

No coffee shop, no gift shop, no photos of you at the end.
Totally cheese free. Just 2 blokes in gumboots drinking beers around a stove. For $10 you can explore an old gold mine, hut and machinery (some still in working order, although not at the time). Really authentic experience to a west coast mine.
