Amazing views and well worth the climb and effort.
We walked it in 2 hours with our 5 year old son. He also loved it.

Very friendly.
Had some problems with the battery not charging when driving. They found someone who could fix it and compensated us for the time we used. Nice that they have a small camper with enough space for 2 adults and 2 kids.

The park is really nice and beautiful.
However the Lady Knox Geyser was a disappointment. I would skip it if we were going there again.

Great view from the deluxe powered sites, but very expensive.
Showers and WIFI cost extra. Playground was rundown and the nets on the trampoline broken.
Hi Sara.
Thank you for taking the time to provide a review on our Park. We were sorry to hear that your stay with us did not live up to your expectations.
We note that you opted to stay on a Deluxe Powered Site during your stay with us. The tariff for a Deluxe Powered Site is more expensive than the standard sites we offer on the lower field and are reflective of the extra services provided such as a grey water waste, your own picnic table, fresh water top up from your site and of course the stunning sea views. Our tariffs are also reflective of a 4 star plus Holiday Park and convenience, in a beautiful location.
Regarding the showers, we have to comply with local Council resource consents that restrict how much water we can draw from the local water table. Therefore our water consumption has to be closely monitored and managed as Russell does not have a mains water supply. We do this by metering our showers (-50c for 6 minutes of hot water).
Yes, we do charge for Wifi at our Holiday Park, as do most Holiday Parks in New Zealand. We note that you were a TOP 10 Club member when you stayed with us and would like to confirm that we do offer cost effective weekly and monthly plans with internet provider IAC for both TOP 10 members and non-members, which would give Wifi access at 44 TOP 10 Holiday Parks throughout New Zealand, along with numerous other Holiday Parks.
Regarding the playground, we acknowledge that the trampoline nets were in need of repair during your stay with us. We wish to advise that the nets have since been replaced and the playground refreshed since your stay with us. We do this annually during the quieter months. We would like to make you aware that one of the trampolines was purchased new and the other trampoline had its nets replaced just months before your stay with us. Sadly, our signs requesting adult supervision of children at all times is not always respected, which results in the playground equipment being abused.

Great place!!
The two beaches are lovely and child friendly! We were only there for one night but could easily have spent more time here. The campground is large and basic with only cold showers.
