Loved this place.
I organised our itinerary so that we would be here on a Saturday so that we could stock up for the rest of our trip. Not disappointed at all. Fresh fruit, veges, cheese, fish, meat and yummy pastries. Don't eat breakfast before you come - there is so much to have. All good.

The location is the only reason for 2/10.
The bathroom facilities were very old, moldy and worn, and to charge extra on top of the expensive $40 site fee for each shower was unacceptable. The kitchen was so crowded that it looked liked a sauna. A quality motorhome park is needed urgently for Lake Tekapo. Worse night of our 2 week trip.

This was one of the highlights of our 2 week trip.
We arrived about 5 minutes late because we decided to walk from the town centre - allow plenty of time, the streets are steep. Fortunately we were able to join the tour that had begun. It is a beautifully preserved home and gardens. The tour was very informative and friendly. We were able to stay behind after the tour and were taken back to the bits that we had missed. Thanks.

We organised the second Saturday of our two week trip to be here, and while the markets were not big, they were very, very good.
Great breads and pastries, veges, fruit, etc. Just near to the markets is Phillipe Butcher and Deli - a real find - one of the best.

This was our second trip to the South Island and the second time we had used Wilderness Motorhomes.
We chose to be return customers because the motorhome and the service were excellent in October 2012, and the second time was, without exception, just as good - friendly, efficient, reliable. The first time we had an Escape 4, but this time we had an Escape 2 - both fantastic. A nice surprise was a gift from Wilderness for being return customers - thanks, the Pinot Noir was just what we needed to start our holiday. We haven't been to the North Island properly yet, so when we do it will be with Wilderness.

We spent one of our best nights of our two week trip at this motorhome park.
We were warmly welcomed and treated to some freshly made muffins upon our arrival. The facilities were beautifully clean (not the case at some motorhome parks) and comfortable. We had a great evening talking to a couple of friendly German girls around the wood fire, after the walk up to the waterfall.
