Don't believe what they say - it's not an easy walk..
you need a moderate level of fitness as some parts are v steep. Also the sign at the start of the track says 20 mins (this is a lie!) It is 1 hour return at least. However, it was worth it in the end to see Jacks Blowhole! Great views from up high too.

Sites were a bit too short for our 7m long motorhome and I noticed some of the sites on the top section weren't even flat!
Bathroom block needs an overhaul, it was clean but open to the elements so worn out and had a 'dirty' feel as a result. Could do with more washing machines / driers (there were only 2 of each) and maybe bigger ones of a commercial quality (took 2 hours to get clothes dry). Being in Fox where it's wet everyone wanted to use the driers. $40 for 2 adults on a powered site per night, expensive for the quality.

Sheer bliss!
Lovely pools and facilities and I enjoyed a fantastic 1/2 hour massage while there too - was well worth it, we easily passed a couple of hours relaxing here!

$35 for 2 adults on a powered site.
Includes a 7 min shower but takes ages for the hot water to come through so probably more like 5 mins! V clean bathrooms and toilets and facilities close by to sites. Great Indian takeaways 100m down the road and close to supermarkets. Friendly hosts.

V nice surroundings, stream running down the back of the park and lots of trees, bush walk from the park etc.
Designated spot so you can go out and know you'll be able to park in the same place when you come back. Great facilities, v clean bathrooms, showers included in price. $38 per night for 2 people on a powered site.
Thank you for your feedback. Its great to see you ranked us so high and enjoyed your stay. We are lucky to be located on the banks of the Leith Stream with access to bush walks and glowworms. Hope to see you again in the future.

Quite expensive but well worth it - the house / gardens and ball room are beautiful.
Can easily spend a few hours here. History of the Larnach family is fascinating. You are welcome to take photos in the 'castle' but not use your flash - why would that be? None of our photos came out as it was too dark inside which was a shame.

Totally worth seeing, v easy walking - even most of it can be done by a wheel chair.
Spectacular scenery, this is a must do!

Holy moly, hold onto your hats!
Don't attempt to drive up it unless you're an experienced driver with a gutsy car. There is a small flat bit at the top with room to do a 3 point turn ready for the decent. Also cool bench and street art at the top which is new. If your ankles can handle it walk it - look at the angle of the houses -v- the road, quite amazing! The shop at the bottom of the street (just around the corner) is well worth a look - you can buy certificates which state you went up the steepest street in the world.

We did the full day doubtful sounds tour.
What an incredible day with a fantastic bus driver / skippers. Nothing was a problem, they were so helpful and keen to make everyone's day special, even though they do it every day they managed to make it sound fresh, new and exciting... like an orange! I highly recommend these guys. By the way the normal sized lunch option if you buy it, would be fine for most people - the large option was huuuuge!
Wow, thank you for the ranking and the review Michele and we apologise for the delay in responding!
The lunch options are quite generous, but it's a long day out there in all that fresh air…we can't have you starving before you get back to land :)

Brand new park, v nice.
The bathrooms and toilets are like the ones you'd find in a flash new house, what a treat! You get a whole bathroom to yourself!!! Commercial quality laundry facilities too. Lovely owners and their dog is gorgeous, she'll come and visit you in the afternoon to say hello if you're a doggie person. My only complaint is that the bathrooms are a long way away from the sites so a hard walk in the middle of the night in the rain. Also no lighting guiding the way so you need to take a torch (the owner told me that he's putting lighting in v soon though). All in all this park is a little gem!

We rented 'Big Bertha' for 17 days of fun around the South Island.
We loved the space as even though there's only 2 of us, my Husband is really tall. You are fully self contained with cooking / bathroom etc if you don't want to go outside into the rain! The team at CamperCo are super friendly and helpful, they really go the extra mile to make your holiday special. We chose them because the service looked more personalised (and it was) and being well travelled themselves, they know what they want in a motorhome. We found BB easy to drive (once you get used to having 7m behind you!), no problem on all the curly steep roads, she's quite gutsy too which means you're not holding up all the traffic on the straights. Can't wait for our next adventure in Big Bertha with CamperCo.

Site nice and flat but some of the tree branches were a bit low for motorhomes.
Bathrooms clean but showers coin operated. Seems a bit expensive for where it is and the facilities. Fairly boring view in the motor park.
