Anne was really helpful in getting things organised and was quick to answer all our pre-trip questions.
We had the most wonderful alpine trekking trip to Tasman Glacier with Alpine Recreation,
Paul Aubrey, our guide, was fantastic. He looked after us from the word go, checked we had suitable gear (much of it borrowed from Alpine Recreation and of a high standard), and he ensured we had a safe and enormously enjoyable trip. Paul is so knowledgeable that we felt we were in safe hands in an environment that we weren't familiar with, while at the same time learning so much from such an experienced mountaineer. We think Paul is a legend, but he'd never acknowledge it!
We feel privileged to have visited such a pristine and beautiful environment. We'd head back down in a flash if we could and would certainly not hesitate to do another trip with Alpine Recreation.

Highly recommend this trip!
It is a magical experience being up so high in the mountains looking directly across at Caroline face of Mt Cook and the surrounding mountains, glaciers and valleys. The guides were brilliant - professional, knowledgeable, fun and excellent cooks! The alpine skills part of the trip was really enjoyable and the Ball Pass crossing was stunning - kept pinching myself to make sure I was actually awake and not dreaming this fabulous experience. Amazing scenery with a bit of physical challenge thrown in - definitely need a good standard of fitness.
Alpine Recreation were super helpful answering questions leading up to the trip and the gear we borrowed was all of a high standard and comfortable including the boots!
