Too expensive by far!!
Try to avoid crossing on the ferry twice between the North and South islands. We paid over $500 one way for 4 people and the campervan.

Really unbelievable experience.
You can really feel the drop if you get over the scare factor. Bring a camera to tape yourself to save $$.

No probs mechanically so cant complain at all. Nicely furbished campervan also.
