My wife and I settled early on in 2013, that this Christmas was to be on the road in New Zealand.
As we both love to ride a motorcycle, it was clear that this trip was to be on two wheels. None of us had been to New Zealand before, thus internet was the source of information.
After doing some research on rentals in New Zealand, we decided to go with Bulangari Harley Tours of New Zealand (BH). We chose this company in the first place because of their extensive tour suggestion offering and that you could pick up and drop of the bikes at multiple locations over New Zealand.
Us being from Norway, on the exact opposite side of the globe and used to drive on the right side (pun intended), we had of course numerous questions. No matter how trivial we got answers, good answers.
When we arrived, the bike and gear was ready as agreed.
The bike had made a good 50000 km’s and you could tell from natural wear and tear. Technical fitness was however excellent. No lose screws, no missing plugs, no rattling windshield and no leaking oil. Tires and breaks in good shape. The bike was in excellent condition for the 3000+ kms we were to add to it.
We borrowed jackets and raingear but brought our own helmets and communication gear. Jackets were fine, while both raingears had rips. Which we did not find until we used it. Still, BH accepted that the damage had been there in the first place.
We experienced BH as having a genuine interest in providing us with the best assets and information possible to make our vacation a success. Which it was.
I have no problem to recommend BH for others. No issues with payments, agreements held and hardware functioned flawlessly. Great service, attitude, with a personal touch.
We did not take advantage of the tour suggestions, as we believe the road is the target. A vague idea of the daily target and do as we like. Still, we did have a lot of recommendations with us, and considered those every now and then. Valuable information.
