Nothing more then a parking lot for campers, but it has what you need for a quick stopover in Wellington.
Showers and toilets on site and operate with an access code you receive when checking in. Right in the middle of town and close to the ferry which is practical if you are planning to catch an early sailing...
No kitchen or anything like that available but plenty stuff to do in the city of course.
No wifi available as suggested in our lonely planet guide.

Be aware of sand flies all over the West coast...
Toilets, showers and kitchen available, clean and high capacity. Relatively cheap laundry possibilities with drying room.
Easy accessible dump station.
The pancake rocks are of course a nearby must see, take the tide into account and hope for windy weather!

Incredibly beautiful camping ground!
Normal DOC tariff but you get much more than a basic campsite. Equipped with outdoor kitchen, no hot water but everything else you might hope for, i.e. free electrical bbq's.
It did not stop raining when we were there, but that didn't stop us from hiking in the forest and visiting the nearby Rivendell set.
Best of it was that we had the place to ourselves when we were there.

Incredibly beautiful and spectacular views of the lake and the mountains.
Best view of mount Cook we have had.
The campsite is free and spacious. What you get is the location and nothing else. Fires are allowed.
The short gravel trail/road to the site is quite bumpy and rocky.

A LOT of sandflies.
Basic DOC, for basic DOC tariff.
You are allowed to start your own fire, but we didn't stay outside too long due to the sandflies. Beautiful but very close to the road to Milford. If you can't find a spot on this campsite, plenty of others to choose from along the highway.

Relatively long gravel road to reach the camping ground so everything will be dusty, but you get a beautiful quiet beach in return.
Basic DOC facilities for basic DOC tariff.

Certainly worth the stop!
The campsite is right next to the lagoon and the beach. Facilities are clean. Electrical BBQ and hot showers are payable.
You are allowed to start your own fire in the designated spots with drift wood gathered on the beach.
Beautiful sunset on the beach.
Be aware of sandflies.

Plenty sandflies!
Basic DOC campsite. You are allowed to start a fire in the designated areas.
Very interesting trails: swing bridge, old graveyard and battering ram in the middle of the woods.
Near the highway so relatively noisy.

We spent 3 nights in this wonderful holiday park.
Very close to the city center. Very clean facilities and all you need. Plenty of hot water. Wifi payable.
Perfect to discover Queenstown for a few days. I-site at the reception. Everything you need is at walking distance.
Quite crowded, but somehow you still have your privacy.
Main advise is to book in advance because this place is very busy.

Stayed here for the night.
Beautiful views on the lake and has a small beach. The water was very cold when we were there.
Kitchen, showers and toilets are available and clean. Plenty of hot water.
Very spacious.
Thank you for taking time to write a review. We hope to see you back here again another time. The park will just keep getting better. :)

Kitchen, toilets and hot showers available and all clean.
Beautiful location next to the river with nice spots to swim. Nonpowered sites are definitely the ones to go for since they are a lot nicer!
Our first encounter with the notorious sandflies......

Friendly people.
Nice campground.
Showers and toilet appeared to be relatively new and were clean. Very close to the beach, but still about 45 min walking to the boulders.
Going to the pinguins by foot is pushing it...
