Our background: We stayed here during our 5 weeks campervan tour through the north and south island.
We were 2 adults and a baby (9 months) and travelled with a large campervan.
Rating: by far the worst campground we stayed in during our 5 weeks tour. Don't stay here. Place is completly run down which shows everywhere (toilets, showers, kitchen, place itsself, etc.). Wifi is expensive 50MB for 5$. The name is also very confusing. The beach is at least a 20 minutes walk away. And you get sandflies too. Only positive is that you get to meet kiwis (residential campers).

Rating: really huge camp site. Would not want to stay here during peak season. When we stayed it was pretty empty and we could chose our our own stand with views of the beach and the ocean. However, be aware that there is a road between the beach and the campground. Stands are on grass and reasonably big. Toilets, shower and kitchen good and clean. Good starting point for excursions to abel tasman. Water taxis and tours leave right Round the corner. And there is a good burger place next to the campground.

Rating: small park. Stands on grass partially under nice old trees. Farm animals on site. Kitchen, bbq, toilets and showers all a bit tired. Showers cost extra and water pressure a little low. Also sandflies around. But very friendly owner family.

Rating: rather big site but with nice lake view. Close to the gondola and short walk into town. Considering the price showers and toilets ok but not great. Showers were free when we stayed. Pretty strict check-out time. Rather expensive.

Rating: not sure how this big site feels during peek season but when we stayed in novembehr it was great. We had a beautiful site on grass directly behind the dunes with own beach access. Not busy at all and all amenities available and open. Huge playground. Kitchen, showers and toilets all good. Free DVD rental. Nice bbq facilities. Great sunset.

Creates a very cosy and entertaining atmosphere where you can make great contact with other travelers. Laundry ok. Very friendly and supportive manager and staff. Ideally located in the city center. Close to supermarket. We stayed 3 nights.

Rating: rather small campsite with nice stands on grass and with views of the lake. There were only two other vehicles when we stayed so we had a lot of space and got to chose oir own spot. Highway was not noisy during our stay. You have your own clean private shower and toilet cabin. Manager very helpful and friendly. No dump station. Laundry ok.

We were 2 adults and a baby (9 months) and travelled with a large campervan.
Rating: located close to the beach (5 minute walk). Bus to dunedin city center leaves in front of the park (about 15-20 minute bus ride). Very close to the otago peninsula. Toilets and facilities clean. Nice bbq options. Place was not too busy when we stayed but assume it feels cramped during peek season. One of the few campgrounds where the free wifi actually worked (although not too fast).
Thank you for sharing your experience and we really appreciate you leaving this review!
We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Rating: great views of the surrounding mountains and glacier. Starting point of beautiful walking tracks. Campsite itself as well as facilities are very basic (as to be expected). Cold water only. No lights so bring flashlights. Stands are on gravel.

Rating: beautifully located and with access to a number of nice walking paths. When we stayed there was only one other vehicle on the ground so we had ampel space. Nice stands on grass. Toilets and kitchen were clean but a bit dated and could become crowded when it is busy. We would stay here again.
