WOW! One of the best spots we have stopped at.
Had the place to ourselves. Decided to stay the 2 nights (maximum allowed). Great if you are into geocaching as there is a trail of about a dozen caches. If not, well "What a beach and with such wonderful views!"

This is one of the best sites we have ever stayed on.
Stunning views and beautifully kept. Clearly a labour of love. We hadn't booked but Nita made us very welcome and showed us to the best pitch on the site "Marion Heights" from where we enjoyed stunning sea views in two directions, direct access to the beach and the lagoon which are both beautiful. The site was very quiet despite its size. The facilities were clean and freshly painted. There was lots for children, zip wire, high swing, long slide. Whilst we were there the owner lit a big fire in the big fire pit and campers were invited to join them. We loved it here and can't praise the site highly enough.

This was the second year running we hired the same Dart2 camper van from Wilderness and that must count for something, however in spite of the fact that we were looked after brilliantly my Monika on arrival
and departure we were slightly disappointed by the less than perfect exterior of the van which with scuffs and scrapes was not as pristine as we had expected it would be and certainly not up to the standard of the other Wilderness vehicles on the forecourt. We had a great month on the North Island and the VW T5 base vehicle proved as before to be very reliable and comfortable and like a car to drive and park. Apart from the solar shower which proved to have a split in it (we could live with that) and a dodgy fridge door catch, everything in the van worked as it should. All in all a good experience which I would recommend to others.
