Despite very heavy rain, Swade took us out for a memorable trip - seeing the first bar tailed godwits of the season come in, an australasian bittern at close quarters, caspian terns, royal spoonbill and
white heron. He was so enthusiastic and it was wonderful.

Excellent experience - just 2 of us with Ian and a friend, who was learning about kiwi tour leading.
Had wonderful sightings. Ian was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic.
