Arrived at 8am, backed up to the beach, settled down to Bacon Butties looking out over the Bay.
Absolutely Beautiful. A little crowded with two other people on the Beach :-) The walks are very peaceful. You wouldn't want to pan for gold on that beach.

Very professional operation with great boats.
Did not feel crowded. Saw sperm whale on the surface for 15-20 mins, Also saw albatross, minke whale, Hector's dolphins and seals. Just the view of the bay and mountains from the water is breathtaking.
Kia Ora Steve, it sounds like you had a great time out on your trip. We are so blessed by the diversity of marine life we can see off the Kaikoura coastline. Thanks again :)

Beautiful quiet family farm with warm muffins on arrival.
Amenities were of a high standard but not many toilets and showers if you were there high season. Great walk up to the waterfall. An excellent place to stop between Havelock and Picton. Very relaxing.
Hi Steve,
Thanks for your lovely review. Re the amount of showers and toilets, we actually operate on the required number as per the camping regulations. In addition we limit our numbers in the park so that we don't have too much of a problem with congestion. We hope that the rest of your trip went really well and that the weather was kind to you.

The first of two for the day, and to think I was walking over where the Glacier had retreated from, years earlier.
I sat on a rock and just listened, heard nothing for fifteen minutes. Brilliant

Not booking by Internet before, this was a great hurdle to overcome.
Mighty Campers allayed all our fears all through the booking process. Just an email away to help with any worries. Ten Minutes from arriving, to driving out on our NZ Holiday, in our motor-home for Three weeks. Common sense worked everything out in time. The way the hiring is set up is absolutely brilliant. I have traveled the world and have not seen this brilliant system before. Did lots of free camping, did notice the Accreditation on the rear of van to rest easy.
A nine only because we didn't know if we could ask Questions about the van with out a fee involved. And the office was a little,,,,'orange' well you know :-)
We Will be back.

Great spot by the bay.
Very clean Toilet block on the entry road 50meter walk. Free camp, and we visited the Museum over the road in town, and met the local Lady s. What knowledge and gossip. Thanks for making our day.
The chish and fip caravan was closed as we were out of season. Houses are empty rentals.

Thoroughly enjoyed the day and well worth the money.
Boat is excellent - clean, spacious and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were lucky enough to experience rain and sun and both were spectacular. Also saw dolphins, seals and a lonely penguin. There were only two boats on the sound this day. The trip inside the mountain to look at the power station was interesting.
All round a fantastic experience delivered by a very professional group of people.
