This was a great adventure for our family.
Three boys aged 9, 7 and 6 with mum and dad had a wonderful time. Our guides were fun and patient with us all and made sure were comfortable, safe and having a good time. Grade two rapids were challenging enough to make it interesting but not feel we were in any danger. There was lots to see and learn about the historic gold mining in area plus see part of the setting for the Lord of the Rings. It's still October so the water was pretty cold - but we still had a great swim and warmed up pretty quick with the good gear supplied. Big thanks to our guides for a great day out!

We hired a 6 birth Frontier from Christchurch to Christchurch over 8 days.
We had nothing but friendly and efficient service from pick-up, drop-off and over the phone. Our van's DVD/TV was not working but this was replaced with a brand new TV when we dropped into Queenstown, in 15min and with a smile. The van was great - better than we expected from looking at the website - reliable clean and the layout worked very well for us. I would recommend to friends and would certainly go with Britz NZ again. The insurance and terms seem the same as any other company - I'd recommend getting full coverage and then you can relax and know that if anything does go wrong it should not be a big deal to sort out. This was our second van hire tip (first was with another company) - this was everything and more.
Hi Pokari,
Thanks for your wonderful review! It is so great to read that you had a thoroughly enjoyable experience and we're glad that the Queenstown crew were able to help you out with the LCD/DVD.
We hope to see you again!
Kind regards

Beautiful views are what this place is all about.
Basic facilities and gravel sites - choose a site high up to get the best views of the mountains and lakes. Best when not busy.

My favorite campground.
Stunning setting by lake and hills/mountains. A 7km drive in from the main road - the second part gravel but I liked this for the adventure (we took a large campervan in no problem). A great feeling of being away from everything. Basic toilet and cooking but we were not looking for more. Lots of grassy space.

Wonderful beach setting - Friendly.
Private sites with flax bushes surrounding each site - no beach views from the sites. Showers and kitchen very basic. Not sure we would want to be here when the camp is very full as there are only a couple of toilets showers. Penguin viewing at dusk a short walk up the road. Seals and dolphins if you're lucky at the right time of year.

Very friendly, very clean - excellent facilities!
Only thing for me was not really great views from the campervan sites - maybe a mountain poking up over a tree (might be more from cabins). Free van ride into town (15min walk) which was much appreciated.
Hi Pokarim
Thanks for your lovely review! Unfortunately everyone gets in early for the better sites (anyone coming book a site at the top of the park!)

Stunning views - great Free camping.
No facilities - so only self contained. Not signposted so a little tricky to find - short road in pretty rough but fine if you go super slow.
