We returned to Miranda recently after not being there for a few years.
After a facelift, the place is looking great. The addition of lifeguards made the mums feel better and new additions to the play area were welcomed by the kids. The kids were disappointed that we had to pay for the inflatable tubes for the pool since these used to be free and there didn't seem to be enough even if you were happy to pay. Lots of fun and well worth the trip.

After being told the next sailing was full, we managed to get on the cruise at the last minute after some intensive praying by the 7 year old member of family.
Her prayers were sure answered. The boat was well set up for viewing, comfortable, and felt safe. The skipper was superb - gave an amazing commentary for a recently immigrated Scotsman and did a wonderful job of finding the wildlife and getting up close. We saw lots of dolphins and got a great appreciation of the beautiful Akaroa Harbour. A highlight of our holiday.
