I wasn't really sure about this.
The hours make sense with the business hours of the mall, but where is the public toilet?
At least I felt confident about parking here as it is published here.

This campsite was really beautiful.
Right next to the beach (not sand though) and a little stream, very quiet.
The only annoying thing was the Weka. Watch out for him, he'll steal rubbish, cookies, tobacco and food!
Water is drinkable without treating.

Nice little site with a stinky toilet.
The views on the drive there are stunning.
Loop track is right there for you to enjoy and the sound of the waves will take you to sleep.
The mosquitos and sandflies ate me. But other than that I can really recommend it!

I would give the site a 10 for the personal experience I had there with long-time camper Fawlty.
It's a little unspectacular drive to the end of the road. But as you drive into the woods around the corner you feel like you've been in the bush forever. The river is only a short walk away and the water is safe to drink.
You can collect fiddle heads, wake up to the rooster calling out for food at your van/tent in the morning and watch the kereru sit over your head.
This was a one in a lifetime stay for me!
Basic toilet - no toilet paper.

Beautiful site.
Right next to the river. Green, no noise, houses in sight make you feel safer.
Plenty of room in the toilets.
Be careful driving in muddy grass when it rained.

Absolutely beautiful.
Right next to the river, green, trees and plenty of space. In walking distance to the Huka Falls and free hot pools.
I loved it!
(Muddy with rain - don't get your wheels stuck!)

The beach is stunning.
I had it all to my self. Beautiful drive if you take Old Hill Road to get to Te Paerahi.
Would absolutely return!
