Council run park with lots of permanent sites, but on the Monday that we were there, we were the only ones.
Very quiet and just off the bay. Showers are 50 cents for 4 minutes, no taps, operated by a bungy cord attached to a hook, but very clean, hot, with good pressure. Facilities were old but clean, setting was lovely.

Great beach with beautiful sunset.
2 basic toilets. The sand dunes weren't adequate protection from the wind at night but the setting was lovely.

Our Escape 4 motorhome was a joy to drive around NZ.
It was very easy to manouever around the tight bends and windy roads, very economical on petrol and gas (we used a half canister over 11 days despite having the heating on!), had great storage space, a large fridge, sufficient cooking rings and all the accessories (hoses, etc) had been organised with thought. The only thing lacking was a satellite so we could watch the rugby in the comfort of the motorhome!
The service provided was excellent - helpful, friendly. Having tried other motorhomes, we would definitely use Wilderness as our first choice again. Thanks guys.

Situated in the pretty village of Moeraki, but quite hard to find now that Haven St is blocked off.
Friendly and helpful owner, clean park in a lovely setting looking out over the harbour. No lounge for campers/camper vans. $10 for wifi. Don't miss Fleur's Place!

We had a lovely site right next to the water and the track down to the beach.
No sea lions but the track along the beach was very enjoyable. Being a small family run campsite, there is no dump and the water supply was from collected rainwater so we didn't fill up the van. Clean showers, well looked after park.
Hi, Thank you for your good review of our place, we now have a dump station, thank you for staying with us and we hope you enjoyed your stay in the beautiful Catlins. Lyndon.

Beautiful setting at the northern end of Lake Wakatipu on the shore next to the Kinloch Lodge.
The only facility was a basic toilet and the restaurant at the lodge which closed at 6:00pm unless previous arrangements had been made. Being self-contained and the only ones there we felt it was worth the long drive in from Queenstown.

Clean, free showers, next to the town centre, easy to find.

Lovely small community managed campground next to a beautiful lagoon and beach, with showers, toilet and washing facilities.
The coin box for one of the showers jammed, but the other one was nice and hot. One of the men's toilets was being repaired. We shared the campsite with another campervan and enjoyed a quiet and peaceful stay. Would definitely stay here again.

Outstanding holiday park, clearly set up with love.
Everything was beautifully laid out, the shower facilities were better than many hotels, all the little details had been thought of. Bevan was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the walk through the rainforest to the waterfall, the local wildlife, the setting.

Clean, good views over the harbour until the weather deteriorated.
Enjoyed the walk into town and the hike back up the hill was good exercise after dinner.

Clean holiday park providing free rides into town, free wifi, friendly and helpful staff, and well laid out plots.
Although we were surrounded by other camper vans we didn't feel hemmed in and enjoyed a quiet night. Walk back from town takes 20 - 25 mins.
WOW thank you Urquhart family, we got a 10 out of 10!! ;)
