My girlfriend and I love this place, have stayed in summer, winter and plan to head back again.
+ Fantastically cheap, $5 power hookup and obviously free to not,
+ Toilets couch toilets and cleaned daily,
+ Right on the lake which is perfect for a swim in summer,
+ Right next to the bus stop cafe which has some awesome food and is reasonably priced,
+ Awesome views of the surrounding woods and lake
We love this place, it's a little out of traditional tourist stops but if you like quiet and calm head here for a stay.

We stayed here for 3 nights over 2 stays.
Is $5pp and power is an extra $8.
+ Very friendly guy who greeted us the first time and spoke to a few other times over the course of our stays,
+ Clean tidy toilets and showers,
+ No kitchen but an outside sink to wash up in,
+ Hot & cold drinking water available free,
+ Washing machine use available.
- 2nd visit the lady wasnt very welcoming and told us off for not disturbing them to check in,
- ladies shower has no lock and due to there being only 2 showers generally the showers are used by either sex whenever needed,

We popped in thinking maybe a couple of nights ended up staying for a week.
We've never felt so welcome at a campsite and I truly believe this is a class above any other campsite you stop of in just for the friendliness of Kevin, Sue and Josh. It was like being at home, from being greeted but Scruffy and Summer (dogs) to Blacky and Whiskers (cats) trying to sneak into our warm van to watching the horses getting all feisty and running around with 'Sally'? The sheep leaping about thinking she's either a lamb a dog or a bullying horse to having a cuppa with Kevin and Sue and Kevin giving me the banter I miss from home.
+ Cheap, $5pp with power being an added extra,
+ Ridiculously friendly welcome,
+ Lovely setting on farmstay,
+ Nice location in relation to beaches for seals/sea lions/penguins,
+ Awesome pizzas and breakfast and very reasonably priced. The vindaloo pizza base is special,
+ They happily loaned us many.....many DVDs whilst we were there including lending us they're portable DVD player as ours didn't show region 4 DVDs,
+ Lovely toilet and shower,
+ Friendly dogs and cats,
+ Free wifi which is fast and unlimited,
+ They sometimes give fruit and/veg to people they like (so be nice to them)
+ Amusing horses and sheep and chickens.
Truly cannot convey how much we liked this stay and how much we were welcomed by Kevin and Sue. We would absolutely not hesitate in stopping there again, even if it were out of our way. They are continuing to update facilities and this place in time will have scores of people queuing to get in. The pizza and breakie alone should do that. My advice to anyone in the area or hell even if your not is to head to this site to visit The guys and feel welcomed like your at home.
Much love to you guys and thanks for all you did for us whilst we were there.

We've stayed here a few occasions for a few nights.
+ Free,
+ On lake front so fantastic views,
+ Spacious 'No-parking' spaces in between camper-van spaces,
+ Right in/near town centre,
+ Public toilets down the road by marina (closed overnight) so no need to pay for super loos.
- There is some noise from bars and road through town.

We stayed here for 1 night after a day in QT.
$20pp power.
+ Lake front pitch so had a lovely view of lake and remarkables,
+ Quiet except for odd plane taking off during day,
+ Big communal kitchen area/comfy lounge,
+ Big clean 'main' toilets and showers.
- Not a friendly greeting atall which unfortunately put everything else into sour tinted glasses for me. Although I gave a very cheery good afternoon to the man he merely looked at me, didn't acknowledge me as a customer until I asked if we could have a powered site for the night to which he's matter of factly replied "$40, fill in these details" whilst almost thrusting a pad of paper at me then "cash or card?" No smile, no please, no thank you after paying.
- Wifi hotspot coverage was awful except next to main terminal in kitchen area.
- What I assume is the camper-van only toilets had no light.
Overall for $20pp expect much better than this place.

We initially went here primarily for IAC Internet use to upload pictures but so glad we did.
We stayed 1 night $18pp power.
+ Fantastically friendly couple who own and run the park. Really friendly welcome from Gary when we arrived and the from Karen and 'shy' Nelly the dog the next morning,
+ Toilets very clean and tidy,
+ Whole camp is very clean, tidy and really well looked after,
+ Free BBQ in little covered area,
+ Good wifi coverage throughout,
+ Lovely animals around the grounds,
+ Got to feed toe sheep, alpacas and George the goat,
+ Gary gave us 2 still warm eggs to take away,
+ The Barn......oh my goodness, lovely big kitchen area with loads and loads of utensils to borrow, slow cookers and stove cookers to use. Nice big comfy leather sofas dotted about this huge space with games, magazines and books all free to read and use. Then to top it off a 52' tv on the wall with sky to watch.
+ Kids playground just outside the barn area.
So stupidly worth it to stay in this place was a true delight.

We stayed on power and it was $12pp
+ Fantastic views,
+ Friendly staff member,
+ You have use of facilities in goose bay which are clean and spacious. Although they are 1km down the road at the office,
+ We saw a couple of seals playing in morning but no dolphins.
- Onsite facilities not worth the money, 1 flush toilet for men and 1 for women and the women's didn't have a lock on.

+ Really helpful, informative and fried oh staff throughout our experience. From receptionist to bus driver to boat crew and captain,
+ We were very lucky and saw 8 Giant sperm whales (usual sighting 1-2)
+ 200-300 dusky dolphins playing around doing somersaults and playing in the waves off the boat were mesmerising.

We meant to stay at this place but decided against it for a couple of reasons.
+ The toilet is a flush toilet and all you can hope for from a public toilet.
- It's right next to the state highway so very loud traffic noise,
- Low bridge under road so a lot of campervan a wont be able to get to the 'pretty' parking,
- After we pulled up and were deciding whether or not to stay a man pulled up in his ute and started staring at us. We decided to ignore him but he then drive around us and parked and wandered right around our van peering at us before going to the toilet. When he was walking back to his van he again decided the best route was to circumnavigate our van whilst looking at us and inside the van. We decided we didn't like it so moved on.

Lovely camp and facilities and views but $22pp on power then $1 showers were a bit much for us.
You struck us at our peak season we are $20pp during off peak - which is very competitive pricing. Charging for showers is a way to prevent people having a 30min shower, it saves money in the long run for everybody including the environment. We're disappointed we only received 6/10 by being marked down on these two points. Best of luck in the future. Thornton Beach Holiday Park.
