: Stayed for 2 nigth.
Nice view. We liked that we could choose the spot for our campervan ourself. Good location for the Tongariro Crossing. Very helpfull staff. There is a little restaurent, but we didn't try it. In the lounge you find 1 computer with a dialup connection to the internet. It's free to use, but very slowly internetconnection. The kitchen, bathroom and livingroom is old and smelly, but there is everything you need.

We spent 1 nigth in our campervan at a powered site.
We spent 1 nigth in our campervan at a powered site. The price was 20$ pr. person - also for our 16 year old daugther. but our son aged 13 paid 10$. Clearly you don't pay for the sites. They are boring and with no shelter. But the facilities at the house is very god. Toilets, hot showers, kitchen with all what you need, dining area, living area with couches and fire in the stove. Some quit music playing on the stereo. And the best part - FREE WIFI. That's worth all the money. Owner very helpfull. The power to our van disappeared 2 times. Every time she came and fixed it even though it was 11 o'clock in the evening!

Nice view from the campsite.
You can walk to town. Not much space for your campervan and no privacy between the spots. Nice pool, but we didn't use it. Expensive. We paid 73 $ pr. nigth for a campervan and 2 adults + 2 teenagers.

Very nice place with a lovely view over the river.
The manager is very friendly and helpfull. He helped us arrange a speedboat trip down the gorge. It was 1500$ for 4 persons, but worth all the money! Do it. Toilets fine and space for doing your dishes. We stayed for one nigth and we didn't have to leave the place at 10 o'clock like all the expensive places. Price: 8$ pr. person (also the teenagers).

This is not really a campingsite.
This is a Christian camp with some spots for tents and campervans. Also powered sites. There are toilets and hot showers and possibility for doing your dishes with hot water. Clean but old. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. We needed some information from the internet, and we could use the managers computer for free. The place is next to a road and we got disturbed be morning traffic.

Very nice campground with lots of space.
We parked by the river and stayed for 2 nigths. We felt, we had the hole campground to ourself. Toilets fine. No shower. We only missed the hot water in the kitchen area to do the dishes. Walking distance to 'Rivendell'. Price: 5$ pr. adult over 16 years old and 2$ pr. child.
