10$ per person, a bit expensive for what you get.
You have toilets and water. The only camping at Mount Cook NP....
But the campsite is huge with lots of spaces, if you don't arrive too late on peak season ;)
Good spot surrounded by mountains !
DOC ranger come every morning to check if you've payed up.

Nice campsite next to an historic bridge and a beautiful river !!
Very small, can accomodate 4-5 vans (less or more).
But it's free so we can complain at all.
Toilets and water.

Not only for self-contained because there's toilets !!
Ask the lady at the I-site if you can stay there and that's it.
Not free but donation.
HUGE camground, lots of spaces, some with ocean view but really exposed to the wind.
Shelter as well.
When it's wet don't go to the bottom of the camp as you will stay there !!

Good camping.
2 kitchens, TV lounge, free showers and internet.
Do not leave unattented stuff. We left our plastic basket with pegs in it in the laundry while waiting for our washing machine finished and somebody stole it.... I told to the manager but the plastic basket never came back. Only pegs !! Anyway it's not the manager's fault if there's bad people there.
Thank you for your review, Florian. We are glad that you have enjoyed your stays. And, we are sorry that someone stole your pegs. We have a rather huge area here and it is at times not within our power to prevent theft. We do however do everything we can to prevent them such as having security cameras within the vicinity.

Very friendly and helpful staff, but tent sites are not marked and very limited, first arrive take the best spot and the last take the one between cabins and road, or where he can...
Facilities where clean.
This camping is good if you want to sleep in a cabin or maybe in your van but not for tent.
Behind the AAMI stadium so could be noisy on saturday night when the crusaders play. For us it was an advantage as we went to see crusaders-souther king ;) AWESOOOOMMEEE !
30min from the city by foot.

One the best camping we have stayed in 5 weeks in South-Island !
27$ for two in a non-power tent site.
Lots of spaces, great view on the Akaroa Harbour.
Very friendly and helpful staff, great clean kitchen and Tv-room.
50cts shower for 4 minutes hot shower wich is fair-enough because they had a water restriction !
I really recommend this camp.
