Great fun racing each other on the middle track (and overtaking school group at great speed!)Expert track even more fun and faster but short.
Unfortunately the scenic track was closed for refurbishment so not many good photos (you are allowed to stop on the scenic track.) Skyswing awesome drop from height to swing over the hillside - better than the 'Big One' at Blackpool. Great way to fill a wet morning.

Lovely walks through the park and lots of wildlife to see.
Especially good at night with the coloured lights illuminating pools and plants. Ticket valid all day so you can come back at night after doing something else.
Very informative tour and enthusiastic, knowledgeable guide. Small group so plenty of time to watch kiwis. The only place in the world dedicated to incubation and rearing of kiwi so a very special place. Unfortunately not much going on in August so not much to see apart from 3 kiwis.
Thanks for your review :)

Excellent walks through a mini Yellowstone.
Best advice is to arrive at 10.15am when everyone is watching geyser erupt, buy your ticket and go back to geyser as everyone leaves (it continues to erupt for about an hour.)Some have rated it expensive - 65 dollars for family ticket is only 25 UK pounds so very good value. Don't forget mud pools on entrance road.

Schweeb ( worlds first human powered monorail racetrack) was great fun for a quick visit though quite expensive for just one short go.
You get to rank yourself against other racers.
