Beautiful view of the bay on drive down to it.
Stunning beach where you can back up right onto the skirt of it to get the best view to wake up to :)

Best things about this site is the AMAZING views you get driving to it and the fact you can back up right onto the bay shore :) Also there is a lovely walk which gives amazing 360 views from the trig
(you get a map on arrival)
But the long gravel road getting to it is pretty awful and the sea gulls were pests.

Beach is long and beautiful.
Camp right behind the sand dunes. Next to the awesome Waipu Caves to see a glow worm galaxy!

We couldn't park anywhere near the beach but I don't think that's always the case - we arrived when it was quite busy so we didn't have much choice.
The facilities were fine. The beach is stunning - even with wet and windy weather!

Really nice twin bays, ideally the site would be a bit closer to the water.
Looks good for swimming although the weather put us off.

The facilities are basic but the site is really really nice - and huge at that!
There are 2 lovely beaches and a bay to enjoy and a beach walk along to local village shop.
