Our stay in Queenstown was for 3 days and we had decided to take all non-Top 10 Holiday parks (cos they were ofcourse expensive than others)..
So in Queenstown we stayed at Lakeview..
It nailed us in the beginning with all the security measured they had. You get a pin to enter the park, as well as the bathrooms!! So you're rest assured that you're gona be safe inside..
They also had a hhuuggee pantry and dining area which could seat almost 80-100 people i guess at a time.. It became a bit hot during sun-hours since it was glass-walled.. But otherwise buzzing with co-campers!!
They also had a TV room for kids and a laundry room with a clothes line right outside.. Dumpstations and fresh water.. All included..
And around 200 parking sites!!! You'll feel you're in a camping paradise...
It was worth the stay..!!

Dunedin is running out of options when it comes to camperparks it seems..
We came to Dunedin Holiday Park after travelling all across Chc-Franz-Wanaka-Queenstown.. It disappointed us a little bit..
Although the basic facilities were in place, it still seemed a bit gloomy to us. The bathrooms were also strictly ok..
They had two kitchens, so the crowd can be split.. But the kitchens were also average..
All in all... Dunedin needs better holiday parks..!!!

It was an experience of a lifetime..
I dived from 12000 ft and must say it was totally worth it..
Plus the team at NZONE gave basic instructions and you wouldnt for once feel that its gona be scary or something...
Should do it!!!

We came to this park, since we badly wanted to move out of Dunedin Holiday Park..
It was better than the former I must say.. Was small in size, but very near to the Otago region which we wanted to explore.. Bathrooms were good and park site too..
Just did not like its kitchen.. It could seat only about 3-4 couples at a time.. Even though its a small park, they should keep some moving space in the kitchen so that people dont dash to each other...

Good site..
At first, this campsite seems to be located in no-where...
So away from Oamaru and Dunedin with nothing around to eat or buy groceries..
But there's a reason we came here and liked it. We had gone to watch the Blue-Pengins in their colony in Oamaru.. The watch gets over after sunset (9.45pm when we had gone).. and then it gets so late to drive back to Dunedin. Also we wanted a head-start next day to drive to Christchurch.. So we wanted something on SH 1, but not very far..
Best part was.. Since they get a lot of customers after the Penguin watch, they're open till 11.30pm all days..!!
The kitchen and bathrooms were a bit small, but neat and clean.. Good parking sites and beach in the backyard..
A good place to stay in the end!!

A blessing in disguise!
We arrived at Jackson park at the nth hour of closing since it was sunset time and Greymouth was still an hour away. So we decided to take a chance and stay here.. To begin with, the entrance and park site seemed very scary to stay.. It was pitch dark when we came, but then having no other option we stayed.
What we saw next morning was magic. The pitch dark and scary park was actually a scenic paradise.. With the Western rainforests in the backyard, it was d most picturesque of all parks!!
Also, their restrooms were one of the best among all.. Amazing kitchen & bbq and a small glow-worm den.. Wow!!!
This park is a must-stay place in NZ if you're camping..

We started out trip in NZ from Christchurch..
Amber wasn't our first option to stay in Chc.. But since it was nearby to our friends in Chc, we though to give it a try, just to be surprised to what it offered.
Amber was a small park, with about 50 parking sites.. But thats what made it super cute :) It had a central bbq area and the kitchen and bathrooms were not more than 50 steps away!
And so clean??!! It went above all our expectations!
Glass-walled kitchen and benches outside with spectacular view of the park and flowers all around was not to be missed..
We were so glad by the park that when we ended our trip with Chc being the last halt, we made it a point to stay at Amber and take pleasant memories back home :)

We arrived in this holiday park towards the end of Jan..
Wanaka had the most amazing weather, but our trip became a great experience with our stay in Aspiring Camperpark.. They are a small park with the most amazing kitchen and bath facilities.. Infact, their combined kitchen & tv area made it good evening time too..
Just 5 mins away from the main street, this park had everything we needed - good view, hygiene and to top it all, free wifi..!! Also they had dedicated spaces for car wash, dumping & they rent cycles too..
If I get a chance to come back to NZ & Wanaka, I'd certainty make Aspiring my first choice!!
Hi Moni,
Thanks for your lovely review! We are pleased that you had a nice stay in Wanaka! Hopefully next time our new kitchen will be in working order for you to use

Franz is the snow-town in NZ..
and people go here to get their dose of snow adventures, heli-rides, etc..
Our first move was to visit the i-Site and get all the details of things to do.. More than the required information, we were amazed by the i-Site too..
They had a 4-D model of the mountains and glaciers in the region, with button-pressed lights which tell u exactly which one is Mt. Tasman or Franz glacier or 10 other mountains and glaciers in the region..
Doing the adventures was one thing, and knowing where you're doing it and what you're passing by was an experience not to be missed!!
Good job Franz Josef i-Site.. You've made it extremely nice and informative!!

One word that describes it best - HUGE..!!
This park was like you're living in an actual rainforest.. Green & bushy all around, with parking sites between the trees and ample space around to not feel cramped in parking..
Its kitchen, bbq & bathrooms were centrally located and alongside dumping, fresh water and car wash.. They also had hot water pool complimentary with stay..
We loved the entire feel of the park, its location and facilities a lot!
Must-stay if you're in Franz...

Wendekreisen...
A long name and it totally lived up to it!!
After weeks of research about selecting the best campervan that suited our budget, gave the best insurance option, had the best of vehicles and facilities packed into it, we found Wendekreisen to fit in perfectly!
We had selected 2+1 berth Budget camper which was a Toyota Haice 1999 model. It was in the best of condition, cleaned and packed with all things we would need during our trip. The vehicle went so smooth all along the way, we didnt miss the bed feeling even once!
What made it worth taking was the booking experience offered by their staff - specifically mentioning Kanuka, Romy and Sasha.. They solved all our queries pre-booking and gave us a feeling that the camping experience is going to be amazing..
There were other expensive companies offering same or better campers (ofcourse with more money), but we found Wendekreisen total value for what we paid!
So if you are thinking to go out on a holiday to NZ and do it by camping, Wendekreisen would be your best bet, trust me!!
