Big and spacious.
Facilities blocks are clean and there are plenty for everyone. Friendly hosts with good recommendations. Bike rental or tour booking for wine tours.
Thanks for your comments. We trust that you enjoyed your stay.

Very interesting tour in a Maori Thermal Village.
Good value compared to the competition. Food was delicious (we had a Hangi pie meal) and the show was fun.

Good location - campsite is a bit cramped, not a lot of shade on the pitches.
Kitchen and bathroom blocks are really clean and there are enough for everyone.

Glowworm cave was amazing.
The guides in both caves were knowledgable and each entertaining in their own way. A little pricey, but worth it.

Interesting experience.
You can dig a hole in parts of the beach and really hot water comes through. If you want a big hoole, like a little pool, you will need a shovel - you can rent them for $5.

if you are not the designated driver, you can enjoy a wide range of wines for free.
We did it by bike (we did pay for the bike rental), but none of the wineries we stopped at charged for wine tasting. Do ask before as some of them do. We enjoyed the freedom and flexibility this option gave us.

We were kind of lost and the lady showed us the way.
She also gave us lots of information about the Waitomo Caves and booked the tour for us.
