lovely facilities and as cost is a function of quality, it probably is value for money.
Just.

An excellent new caravan and motor home park with exceptional facilities.
Well worth stopping at and significantly cheaper that the local competition. $30 vs $46 and $55 for 2 adults and 2 children under 5! does not accept campers.

it is really irritating to pay full price, and then not have a dump station, fresh water etc.
but it was cheaper than the other sites in town

clean tidy, but not offering particularly good value for money and you are crammed into very small plots
Dear William,
Thankyou for your feedback.
Due to the unprecedented demand because of the lack of backpackers ( as a result of the Christchurch Earthquake ) we have tried to accommodate as many people as we can as they have no where else to go. This puts us the the same situation as every other Holiday Park in the Christchurch City precint. We are looking to expand our property in the future.
We hope you enjoyed your holiday in New Zealand.
Regards,
Sharron

but a great big bouncy pillow for the kids, and a good central facility.

by far the best camping area in Queenstown and well worth the journey out of the town to find it.
lovely DOC staff to welcome you

a wonderful central kitchen / living room and shower facility, and free internet etc, and good sized plots.
worth going to particularly if it is wet and cold outside

new(ish) facilities, not value for money - wished we had freedom camped and not bothered to stay

wow - not a theme park, but a time warp.
you think you can pop in for an hour or so and 3 hours later you finally escape. many of the displays are in need of maintenance - but this does not detract from the experience

For bizarre instructions, this has to be the place to visit.
the instructions on how to use the shower cover a side of A4, and if you are in doubt, watch out as you are on CCTV!
if you don't mind a gated facility and constant light at night, this could be the place for you. with such limited freedom camping in southland, it may have to be in anycase!!
Hello William
I sincerely apologise for the delay in responding to. We were sorry to learn that you were not happy with various aspects of your stay with us.
We get a lot of positive feedback about our showers, e.g. people saying they're some of the best they've come across in NZ camping parks. Most people tell us they master them easily thus we're sorry you didn't find the same. To provide such good high pressure showers included in middle-of-the-road overnight rates, it's necessary to have some form of control or, as people often say to us they wouldn't want to get out of them! There's certainly no CCTV in the bathrooms.
All other feedback received regarding the keypad operated driveway gate at night has been positive with people appreciating the extra security. It is a simple process for guests to open it at any time.
The level of night lighting is something we are happy to adjust if necessary. Again most people comment positively relating to security. If anyone has a particular concern we are happy to discuss with people in the area and adjust it to suit.
We are one of 5 registered camping parks in the Invercargill area thus people do have a choice. We endeavour to ensure anyone who decides to stay in our Park has a comfortable stay. We're sorry this wasn't the case for you. We do hope you had more positive experiences during the remainder of your NZ travel.
Kind regards
Wendy & Doug

We tried to get in here, but when we questioned the rate offered, we were asked to leave.
In a quiet season, such an attitude can't be good for business. As it was we were very grateful as we traveled only a short distance east to the Island View camp site and paid a significantly lower price for vastly better facilities, a better location and with cheery operators.
We had just reduced our rates as the Christmas period had passed and offered to waive the charge for the customer's 2 year old. We are continually reviewing the marketplace in order to offer a tariff that is both competitive and fair.

what more could a family of 4 ask for, except fewer sand-flies outside - all the doors to the communal facilities have meshes. .
