Great little camping ground.
Lots of space, friendly locals.Nice and quiet. $12 a night for 2 on a powered site. Very neat and well maintained kitchen. $1 for a hot shower. The retired locals told us that 2 can shower for the price of one because the showers are extra long. Short walk to the beach(?). Nearest shops are in Southbridge.

Extremely helpful and a wonderful couple run this company.
Their vehicles are outstandingly maintained and the supply of all needs within the campervan are supplied and are first class. One of the cheapest if not the cheapest vans in NZ. The vans are unmarked so do don't look like a tourist as well.

Not a bad spot for free. There is a big shelter there built from stones with a fireplace for communal gatherings.
Basic toilet.Negatives are that it's right on the road and a busy railway nearby.

Stayed only the one night here and it was very quite and peaceful.
The toilet was clean and well maintained. Our second night in NZ and what a great way to begin ...snow on the peaks and the sound of the surf at your doorstep.

Great position,toilets are average.
Clean water supply. Does get crowded. $10 a head but not much different from other DOC sites that are cheaper or free.

Great spot, nice and quite with the beach at your door.
Flushing toilets and plenty of room with cows for neighbours.
