Climb up to the trig at the top of Mount Rimutaka. We did not climb all the way as it was very windy, but got to the other side of the mountain - great views.

Amazing views across the Rotorua region. You can see several lakes and geothermal spots. Moderate walk with a few steep sections.

Right on the lakeside, very peaceful. We were the only campers on the night we stayed. Very handy for Rotorua but off the main trail.

The setting of the Deluxe Private Pool was stunning - a sympathetic use of the local environment with views across Lake Rotorua.
The light drizzle only enhanced the atmosphere!
